Heading from the cottage and venturing into the Lake District you will discover some wonderful things to do:

Fell Foot Park: Just a short drive from The Old Locksmith Cottage, this National Trust park offers stunning views of Windermere. Enjoy picnics, boat rentals and swim or paddle-board from the lake shore.

The World of Beatrix Potter: Dive into the enchanting world of Beatrix Potter at this charming attraction in Bowness-on-Windermere, celebrating the beloved author’s magical stories.

Cartmel Racecourse: Experience a day of excitement at Cartmel's summer horse races, complete with picnics and fairground rides, set in a picturesque village setting.
